  • What's the difference between a twist, loop and velvet pile?
  • A Velvet pile is a type of carpet where cut strands of yarn are agitated and evenly distributed, giving it its distinct feel. A Twist pile carpet has cut yarn twisted or platted together to achieve the twist pile carpet. Looped pile has yarn looped back into the backing.
  • There are different qualities within the same ranges what should i look for?
  • You purchase good quality carpets by the weight or stitch rate generally. The heavier the carpet or higher stitch rate, would give an increased wool content. Which in turn would increase the overall life span.
  • Can i get anyone to fit my Westex carpets?
  • If we supply your Westex carpets then please ask us to install (subject to location) We have many years experience with Westex carpets.

  • Made from 80% wool & 20% nylon a Westex carpet give a superb combination of performance and technical design. All these carpets are produced from fine 2-fold yarn to prevent pile reversal, giving improved appearance retention, recovery & resilience.
  • The Twist range offers 4 original 1/8th gauge twists and 4 satin 1/10 gauge twists. All are double cropped for a smooth finish.
